ANDRÉ RIGATTI – version in the pluperfect-[im]-perfect tense
Galeria Ocupa, Porto, Portugal, 2020.

Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding]
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that decidedly is not
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find and that will un-tranquillise me
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find and that will [un]tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find and that will un-tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding] something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find and that will un-tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding] something that decidedly is not what I imagined I would find and that will un-tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope than pared-down thinking without who or why
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding] something that decidedly [is not] what I imagined I would find and that will [un]tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope than pared-down thinking without who or why, but in truth painting is a thing
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding] something that decidedly [is not] what I imagined I would find and that will [un]tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope than pared-down thinking without who or why, but in truth painting is a thing added by the self that wishes itself well
Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than [finding] something that decidedly [is not] what I imagined I would find and that will [un]tranquillise me, to muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope than pared-down thinking without who or why, but in truth painting is a thing added by the self that wishes itself well, in its commitment to the round world, which would work better if it were so

Itten, W. Kandinsky, L. Wittgenstein or the Guru who was Goethe: physical colours, physiological colours, chemical colours, colours that are always skin, thickness and depth…

Perhaps, deep down, I like searching more than finding something that what I imagined I would find and that will tranquillise me does not muzzle the impulse of the act of painting, which is the greater scope of pared-down thinking without who or why, but the truth of painting is a thing added by the self that wishes itself well, in its commitment to the round world, which would work better if it were so, as in the theories of colour by J. Itten, W. Kandinsky, L. Wittgenstein or Goethe: physical colours, physiological colours, chemical colours, colours that [not] always are skin, thickness and depth… because on the surface the soul of the forms that the self takes from itself towards others is intimated.
